WHAT YOU GET TO DO

 

The Total Rewards Specialist performs a range of duties in the areas of compensation and benefits. As a Total Rewards Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and administering employees’ compensation, rewards, incentives, and other applicable benefits. 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Own the strategic development and day-to-day management of Compensation, Benefits, and Wellness programs.
  • Develop, update and own the company’s Total Rewards Philosophy.
  • Propose updates to the compensation & benefits philosophy based on market benchmarks and best practices, especially with competitors.
  • Research and develop benchmarks for compensation, incentive, benefits and wellness programs.
  • Manage the annual Compensation Planning and Review process, including short and long-term incentive and profit-sharing programs.
  • Control and update Salary Structure and advise HRBPs and management on compensation for new positions.
  • Oversee and update Compensation, Benefits, and Wellness Software.
  • Develop and Administer all Benefits programs.
  • Suggest, develop, and roll out new Benefits Initiatives and Programs.
  • Manage Benefits Annual enrollments.
  • Develop and Manage Wellness initiatives.
  • Handle Compensation and Benefit issues and inquiries, efficiently assisting employees and management needs.
  • Perform project work and other duties as assigned by the VP HR.

 

WHAT YOU HAVE

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience required with a concentration in Compensation & Benefits with Compensation being the more critical.
  • Work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments/tasks simultaneously
  • Detail oriented, accurate with a high level of reliability
  • Experience working with business leaders on a variety of HR issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ADP Workforce Now experience (strongly preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of applicable state and federal laws and regulations, as well as related HR practices, especially as applied to the areas of compensation and benefits
  • Experience working in global organizations (preferred)
  • Experience with employees in Canada (a plus)
  • Certifications in Compensation & Benefits (preferred)
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR (preferred)

 

 Working Conditions and Environment:

 

  • Travel may be required up to 10%
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Physical requirements may include:  o sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 30 pounds
